Visitoons, S. A. is a company developing technologies related to Virtual Worlds and distributes its products through Vendors specialized on software development. These Vendors incorporate Visitoons technologies into their own products.
The Visitoons Virtual Worlds Platform allows the integration of a virtual leg into web applications, enhancing the user experience by providing an immersive experience with live animated avatars. Applications that allow people interaction, either business to customer, peer to peer or business to business, can offer a new way of communicating, the virtual way, where individuals can freely interact, in a natural fashion, like in a real physical space, using all the multimedia and communication tools available in a Web environment. Visitoons partners with Vendors by signing a private agreement that shapes the strategic alliance through which the Vendor has access to Visitoons technologies, with the aim of making use of them in projects of their own authorship, generating, in the end, the sales of licenses for the use of Visitoons technologies, as an intermediary, as a part of the project negotiated with their clients.
The Technology Partnership defines the relation between the Vendor and Visitoons in relation to the following topics:
• Type and reach of the Vendor’s access to Visitoons technologies (open/closed code, limitations of use, access to new versions, etc.)
• Non-disclosure and Intellectual Property Agreements (copyright)
• Agreements over the property, rights of use and access to the software developed by the Vendor.
• Agreements over training of the Vendors’ staff.
• Agreements over the licensing model through which the Vendor will distribute Visitoons technologies, including agreements over the sales of subscriptions of additional services.
